Connect your Amazon account

Each seller needs two connections, not one:

Connection Brings in
Amazon Ads Advertising data — campaigns, targets, search terms, performance
Selling Partner API (SP-API) Products, listings and sales

Both belong to the seller, and both are needed. Ads alone tells you what you spent; SP-API is what lets Vendlen know what you sold, which is what makes an economic decision possible.

The Connections tab. A connected seller card shows the seller ID, marketplace and profile, with Amazon Ads and Selling Partner API each marked connected and showing their latest sync. Below, an Add seller panel describes connecting a new seller in two steps. Seller and profile identifiers are demo replacements.

A fully connected seller. Identifiers shown are demo replacements.

Connect Amazon Ads first. It is what gives Vendlen the Seller ID, and SP-API is connected against that ID afterwards.

Choose Connect Amazon Ads, sign in to Amazon, and approve the access. You are redirected back, and the App lists every seller the authorization can access — select the one you want to sync.

A single authorization may cover several sellers. Selecting one ties this Vendlen seller profile to the Amazon account you want to sync.

Select Connect SP-API from your Vendlen seller profile. You will be redirected to Amazon to review and authorize the permissions requested by Vendlen. After authorization, Amazon redirects you securely back to Vendlen and the connection will begin syncing.

Each seller authorizes only their own Amazon account. Vendlen does not ask sellers to provide their Amazon password or API credentials.

The seller card shows the state of both connections at a glance:

  • Amazon Ads — daily sync, and the date of the latest data it holds.
  • Selling Partner API — the latest sync, how many listings it covers, and how many errors it hit.
  • A data schedule running on a fixed interval — every two hours in the capture above — with Manage in Cron Jobs next to it.

A Complete badge means both connections are in place. One connection alone leaves the seller partially set up, and the parts of Vendlen that need the missing side will not have what they need.

Repeat both steps per seller. Ads first, then SP-API against that seller.

Note that every published self-serve plan covers one seller profile — if you operate several, contact Vendlen.

Data does not arrive instantly. Advertising history has to be pulled and listings synced before the account has enough for the AI Analyst to say anything useful.

  • Vendlen only reads the United States marketplace today. See Marketplace scope.
  • Amazon-derived data is permanently deleted within 25 days after the Amazon connection is disconnected or authorization is revoked.
  • If a connection drops later, see Amazon connections.
