Drafting with the Agent

Writing a Product Line from a blank form is the hardest part of setting one up. Ask Agent to draft turns it into a conversation instead.

The assistant asks you a few short questions about the product — what you sell, the category, who you compete with — and drafts a Product Line from your answers. It fills the fields in the form so you can read them in place.

It will also ask when it cannot work something out on its own: if your product data is incomplete, or a connection has not finished syncing, it asks you rather than guessing.

The Agent never saves. The draft is written into the form and stops there. You read it, change whatever is wrong, and press Create Product Line yourself.

That is the same rule that governs everything else in Vendlen: the system prepares, a person decides. See Preview Changes.

Answer in your own words. The Agent is trying to learn things it cannot read from your account. “We compete on insulation, not price, and our two-pack is the one that actually sells” is worth more than a tidy category label.

Say what is unusual. Products you defend at a loss, seasonal patterns you know about, a variant that attracts the wrong shopper — these change what a good recommendation looks like, and nothing in your advertising history spells them out.

Then read the draft critically. It is a first pass written by something that has never sold your product. The fields it fills are the same fields you would have typed, and they carry the same weight — see Creating a Product Line for what each one changes.

Remember the budget. The draft counts against the same 10,000-character seller description budget as anything you write by hand.
