How Vendlen works
Everything in Vendlen moves along the same path. Knowing the five steps makes the rest of the documentation easier to place.
The path
Section titled “The path”1. Signal
Section titled “1. Signal”Advertising and selling data lands in the seller profile it belongs to. Performance, search terms, and product listings are all read from the account you connected.
2. Decision
Section titled “2. Decision”Either the AI Analyst prepares a Decision Brief, or an Automation rule run prepares a change. Both carry the evidence behind them and the scope that evidence was read at.
3. Preview and apply
Section titled “3. Preview and apply”Nothing reaches your Amazon account because it was calculated. A rule run produces a preview of every change it would make, with the current value beside the proposed one. Applying from the preview is what sends a change to the account.
4. Record
Section titled “4. Record”The run keeps what it decided and why. The account change is recorded with its type and its source, so a change can still be explained a week later.
Why the order matters
Section titled “Why the order matters”The step that decides the answer is the one between signal and decision: deciding what evidence a decision is allowed to see. A target can read as waste in a short window and as steady demand across a longer baseline. A query blocked on one ASIN can still be earning across the rest of its Product Group.
Vendlen settles the scope of the evidence before it settles the action. That is what Core concepts is about, and it is worth reading before anything else.
