Product setup
Two structures sit under everything else in Vendlen, and both are worth setting up properly before you rely on the AI Analyst or on Automation.
- A Product Line is the shared context and the default economic targets for a set of products. It is where you tell the Agent what you actually sell.
- A Product Group ties variants of one product together so their evidence can be read as one body, and can override the Line’s numbers for that group.
Why this matters more than it looks
Section titled “Why this matters more than it looks”The Agent does not know your business. It can read your listings, your keywords and your history, but it cannot read your margins, your competitive position, or the fact that one of your products is a defensive play you are willing to lose money on.
A Product Line is where that goes. Everything you write there changes what the Agent is able to conclude and what Automation is allowed to do — which is why a thin Product Line produces thin recommendations.

- Drafting with the Agent — let the Agent interview you and fill the form in.
- Creating a Product Group — select variants, assign a Line, and override its numbers.
- How the economics resolve — which number wins when an ASIN, a Group, a Line and the account all have an opinion.
